Grindstone Goldens

At Grindstone Goldens we raise and work Performance Golden Retrievers.

 We work our dogs in the field and in obedience. We are concerned with keeping a healthy line of performance Goldens, that are strong retrievers, and have the famous Golden disposition, making them one of the top family dogs.

Just starting out, We do not claim to be a Professional Kennel or Hobby Breeder. We only have occasional breedings. This is not a business or livelihood. We have great dogs and only want to continue a line that will carry the best traits to make this breed stronger. We take every precaution to breed healthy, well socialized puppies. 

Both my husband and I are high school teachers. We have two sons and are part of a small community.

I became involved with field work and obedience several years ago when our first Golden, Milly, became part of our family when she was 1 1/2 years old.  She comes from an amazing line of competitive field and performance Goldens, and has so much desire and drive.  Milly and I ran hunt tests last summer and picked up her AKC Junior Hunter title. We are working towards her Companion Dog title in obedience this summer and her HRC Starter Dog title. 

Our hope is to get our girls out there, doing what they love, and what they were bred to do. It is important to us to be involved and work with our dogs. Our goal is to continue to work towards establishing a reputation that proves to produce outstanding working Goldens for those interested in field games, obedience, agility,  great gun dogs, and of course, great family members!
